FELLOWSHIPPING WITH GOD
Thursday, September 26, 2002
1. FROM THE BEGINNING GOD FELLOWSHIPED WITH MAN
(Gen 3:8) And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the
cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the
LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
2. THAT FELLOWSHIP HAS BEEN RESTORED
(1 John 1:3) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye
also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father,
and with his Son Jesus Christ.
3. GOD IS FAITHFUL TO THE FELLOWSHIP
(1 Cor 1:9) God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his
Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
4. THIS FELLOWSHIP RELEASES ZOE OR THE GOD KIND OF LIFE
(John 5:39) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life:
and they are they which testify of me.
(John 5:40) And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
5. THIS FELLOWSHIP REQUIRES KNOWING HIS VOICE
(John 10:4) And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and
the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
6. JESUS FELLOWSHIP WITH THE FATHER PRODUCED SPEAKING AND DOING WHAT THE FATHER
DID.
(John 12:50) And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I
speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
(John 5:19) Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for
what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
7. JESUS HAS OPEN THE DOOR FOR THIS KIND OF FELLOWSHIP TO US
(John 5:20) For the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things that
himself doeth: and he will show him greater works than these, that ye may
marvel.
(John 14:12) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works
that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I
go unto my Father.
8. THE AGENT OF THIS FELLOWSHIP IS THE HOLY SPIRIT
(John 14:16) And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another
Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
9. HE WANTS TO RELAY WHAT IS DONE AND SAID OF THE FATHER TO US
(John 16:13) Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you
into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,
that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
10. HE WANTS TO LEAD US JUST AS THE FATHER LEAD JESUS
(Rom 8:14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of
God.
11. HE WANTS TO RELAY THE WISDOM OF GOD TO US
(James 1:5) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all
men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
12. FELLOWSHIP WITH THE FATHER IS ALWAYS NEAR US
(Acts 17:27) That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after
him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
13. WE DO WE START
A. HEARING HIS VOICE MUST BECOME VITALLY IMPORTANT TO US
(Psa 42:1) To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart
panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
(Isa 30:31) For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten
down, which smote with a rod.
(Isa 66:6) A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of
the LORD that rendereth recompense to his enemies.
(Acts 17:28) For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also
of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
B. WE MUST DEVELOP A HEARING EAR
(Mat 13:16) But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they
hear.
